JCHC Boasts Good Cash Position

The cash position of the Johnson County Healthcare Center is in really good shape at this point, according to CEO Sean McCallister.

McCallister gave the hospital board of trustees an update during their recent meeting.

McCallister credited the facility’s decision to review their cost reports which resulted in an increase in Medicare payments of $1.3 million, a $370,000 stimulus payment from the CARES Act, an additional $15,000 payment, securing $2.33 million in Small Business Administration funding, and additional funding from various other avenues which all contributed to their current strong cash position.

McCallister said he is expecting additional funding in the coming months, which will help the facility deal with the current drop in revenue along with increases in costs.
