SC Commissioners announce USDA recovery meetings for local producers affected by 2024 fires

Sheridan County Commissioners have announced a series of town hall meetings for livestock producers that have been affected by the 2024 wildfires in the region. 

These discussions will be covering what services and assistance Natural Resources Conservation Service can provide to help producers recover from the wildfires of 2024. Topics will include various types of programs, how NRCS can assist and how producers can apply. 

The first of these discussions will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at the Johnson County Public Library in Buffalo. 

The next will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library in Sheridan. 

The last meetings will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at the Campbell County Public Library located in Gillette.
