Aaron PalmerJohnson County’s Commissioners, during their Tuesday meeting, secured outside counsel for pending litigation brought by a number of county residents that are suing the county commissioners and the State of Wyoming.
Attorney Mitchell Edwards with Nicholas & Tangeman, LLC of Laramie was approved by vote of the commission.
During discussion, Commissioner Bob Perry explained who had filed the lawsuit.
Commission Chairman Bill Novotny read a statement concerning the lawsuit.
Novotny said that this would be the only statement issued by Johnson County, and directed all inquiries in the matter to their attorney, Mitchell Edwards.
He added that the county disputes all claims in this lawsuit and looks forward to its resolution.
