The Model A and Pioneer Car Club of Sheridan and Johnson Counties traveled to Arvada, Wyoming, to see the country and have lunch at the Arvada Bar and Cafe on Saturday, September 28. Gordon Carlson of Sheridan, vice-president of the club, talked about why they came to Arvada,

George Meredith of Sheridan is a past president of the club, and he was on the tour driving his 1980 Datsun 280 ZX to Arvada. He also has a Model A four door sedan that he also takes to car shows and drives around Sheridan, including to the car show at Kendrick Mansion, but it was having mechanical issues.

Meredith added that anyone wishing to join the Model A and Pioneer Car Club can contact him at gamavon@gmail.com or 751-3993.

Dan Wasserburger from Buffalo drove his 1937 Plymouth on the tour and said that there was a 1934 car and a 1936 one. He talked about how he refurbished it, and about the trip to Arvada.

There were around 12 vintage cars, and 24 people came on the tour. As the population of Arvada as of the 2020 census was 33 people, the car club tour doubled the population for a few hours. Carlson added the club has 62 members, and the cars on the tour ranged from a 1934 Oldsmobile to the1980 Datsun 280 ZX.
