Ron RichterThe Sheridan City Council held their second regularly scheduled business meeting of September Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
A bid award to Prospect Construction in the amount of $2.6 million was approved by the City Council for the Clarifier Replacement Project at the Sheridan Wastewater Treatment Plant. Project Manager David Ford said there are two clarifiers that are part of the processing equipment at the treatment plant and both are in need of replacement.
The Council also approved third and final reading of an ordinance to rezone the Sheridan County Fairgrounds from an R-1 Residence District to a B-1 Business District. Sheridan County requested the rezone to allow for a commercial sized electronic messaging center sign, which is not allowed in an R-1 zone district. Councilman Aaron Linden.

The Council also approved a resolution certifying that the application for WLM Enterprises Subdivision at 60 Industrial Lane is in conformance with all rules and regulations governing the Joint Planning Area between the City and the County, and is in agreement with the Future Land Use Plan for the area.
