Aaron PalmerBuffalo’s City Council, at their last regular meeting, voted to accept Resolution No. 1481, which specifies the city’s approval of placing an initiative for a One-Percent Specific Purpose Sales and Use Tax on the ballot in November.
The tax, if approved by voters, would fund specific purposes with specific amounts, in three separate propositions, as explained by Mayor Shane Schrader before the vote.
Voters in Johnson County will have the choice of voting down all of the propositions, approving all of them, or picking a combination of them to approve during the November General Election.

The last time voters had the choice, they wisely chose to pay a lower 5 cent sales tax. And nothing bad happened.
In fact good things happened to everyone who now had a little more money in their pockets.
Maybe this time voters will again opt for paying a lower sales tax of just 4%. Think of the much-needed tax-relief that will provide everyone in Johnson county.
Those are smart voters in Johnson!
