Gatchell Seeking TAP Grant Funding for Remodel

The Johnson County Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum in Buffalo is seeking funding through a Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) Transportation Alternatives Programs (TAP) Grant.
Jennifer Romanoski, with the museum, discussed the grant with the cou nty commissioners at their recent meeting to seek thei approval to move forward with the grant application.
She explained how the funding will be used.
Some of the projects that need to be done on the Carnegie Library Building, according to Romanoski, are new soffits and gutters, better insulation, and other projects which is estimated at $267,000.
The estimate does not include work and sealing on the sandstone exterior of the building.
The TAP Grant will be an 80/20 local match from the county if awarded, and the commissioners approved the museum to move forward with the application process.
