In preparation for the Spring runoff and rainfall the Sheridan County Emergency Management team has designated areas as locations for residents to fill sandbags should they be needed.
Although Sheridan did not receive the high amount of precipitation as last year, Sheridan County Emergency Management has made sand and sandbags available for residents who may experience flooding.
Sheridan County Emergency Management Coordinator Jesse Ludikhuize made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse in part to alert community members to the locations being used by the county for distribution.

The sand and sandbags are free for residents. These sandbags must be filled by the public so Ludikhuize recommends bringing shovels and gloves.
The Sheridan County Emergency Management Coordinator does ask that the public use these resources for the protection of personal homes and not large sections of land.
