Sheridan Memorial Hospital Calls for Healthcare Volunteers

Sheridan Memorial Hospital is seeking emergency healthcare volunteers to help with the COVID-19 response.

A news release from the hospital states that hospitals around the country, and the world, are experiencing patient surges exceeding normal capacities, and a similar surge is expected in Sheridan within three weeks.

The hospital is assembling a pool of volunteers to work along the hospital’s staff to provide skilled, compassionate care for the community.

According to the release, the hospital is looking for healthcare professionals including active, student or inactive/retired physicians, LPNs, CNAs, paramedics, EMTs, mental health professionals, social workers, medical technicians and therapists as well as people with experience as health aides or in medical offices. The hospital is also interested in hearing from all other health professionals.

Those interested in helping the hospital at this time can access the initial application form online. The hospital will process responses and reply to applicants with information on the next steps as quickly as possible.
