Ron RichterA 22-year-old Sheridan man was arraigned in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan Thursday for two counts of possessing child pornography. Sheridan Medias’ Ron Richter has the details.
In the summer of 2023, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a Cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that two video files containing child pornography had been uploaded to a Dropbox account belonging to Harrison Stuart. A subsequent investigation resulted in additional video files of child pornography being found on Stuart’s cellular phone following a search of the device by DCI agents. Stuart, on January 10, 2024 was arrested and taken into custody for the alleged crimes.
At an arraignment hearing Thursday in District Court, Stuart pleaded not guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of children- possession of child pornography. District Court Judge Darci Phillips scheduled a #2 stack three-day jury trial to begin on July 15. A pretrial conference will take place June 18 at 9 am. Stuart’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court. If convicted on both counts, Stuart faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $20,000.
