City Council Considers SEEDA Funding Agreement

The Sheridan City Council met for their regularly scheduled business meeting Monday night. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
An extension of a funding agreement between the City of Sheridan and the Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority was approved by the City Council at their business meeting. City Attorney Brendon Kerns.
This past fall SEEDA selected a 45-acre parcel of land on the other side of Yellowtail Drive, opposite of where the current Hi-Tech Business Park is located, as the site for the next phase of the park. SEEDA Administrator Robert Briggs says the new business park is currently the biggest project the joint powers board is involved in.
Other business from the Council meeting included community updates from Museum at the Bighorns Executive Director Danielle Stuckle and Uprising Executive Director Teri Markham. The Council also approved a resolution to authorize submission of a Federal Mineral Royalty Capital Construction Account Grant application in the amount of $1 million for the Hub on Smith parking lot improvements.
