Elevator Major Maintenance Approved by City Council

The elevator at Sheridan City Hall was installed in 1987 and it will soon be receiving some much needed upgrades as the Sheridan City Council this week approved a contract with Otis Elevator Company for major maintenance on the elevator in the amount of $169,250. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer said the major maintenance is needed because the components of the elevator are obsolete and not replaceable.
Mercer said the City currently has a maintenance contract with Otis Elevator.
The Council’s unanimous vote on the contract authorizes Mercer to act on behalf of the Council and Mayor in all matters related to the contract.
