Light Up Buffalo Fireworks Requests Tentatively Approved

The fireworks display after the annual Christmas Parade will be happening again this year, after the Buffalo City Council approved requests associated with this weekend’s Light Up Buffalo events.

Emma Pehringer and Cora Turner, representing the Buffalo FFA Chapter, spoke to the council and made their requests to put the fireworks event on.

Pehringer said they had spoken with Police Chief Sean Bissett who had no issues with the fireworks display.

Mayor Shane Schrader asked if City Fire Chief Gomer Gammon had been contacted, which the girls said he had not.

The mayor suggested the council approve the requests with the stipulation that Gammon gives his consent.

The council approved the requests with the conditions.
