Aaron PalmerSheridan County’s Commissioners discussed an application by the Sheridan Community Land Trust (SCLT) for an amended right-of-way for the construction of the Red Grade Trails System.
Administrative Director Cameron Duff explained that during construction of the trail system, part of the trail system ended up in a right-of-way owned by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), who issued a Cease-and Desist Order to stop construction earlier this year.
This application will amend the right-of-way for the trail system.
Jared Koenig, with the SCLT, gave more details on the issue.
According to discussions at the meeting, the BLM hopes to process and approve the application within 6 to 8 months.
The commission voted to approve the application.
