The 2020 Budget Session of the 65 Wyoming Legislature has come to an end. During the session, legislation was passed that will implement a statewide lodging tax next January, change the legal age to possess nicotine products to 21, and set the state budget for the next two fiscal years. A number of measures did not pass as the state will not see a new income tax or tolling on Interstate 80.

Hundreds of bills were brought to session and many of them did not get introduced. Many others were voted down later or were shelved due to time restrictions. Some bills that the Legislators approved are still waiting for the final approval of Governor Mark Gordon’s signature while others have been law for days.
