SCSD2 Advised to “Continue Normal Operations”

Sheridan County School District 2 Superintendent Craig Dougherty sent an email to all parents, students, and staff in response to news that a COVID-19 positive individual has been confirmed in Sheridan County. In the email, Dougherty stressed that their first priority is always the safety and wellbeing of the students and staff. That being said, State Health officials have directly advised District 2 to continue normal operations and they do not recommend parents pulling their students out of school.
Dougherty continued that the district is taking very careful steps to determine an appropriate course of action to ensure they abide by their first priority, with guidance from health experts.
