Last year, the University of Wyoming developed a pilot program in an effort to improve on the student experience and set a clear path to graduation for all incoming freshmen called Saddle Up.
The pilot was a success. This program acts as a weeklong college preparation course. Freshman earn college credit while engaging in UW activities, learning the UW campus and mentally preparing themselves for their first semester at the university.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Director of Institutional Communications for UW, Chad Baldwin, told listeners a little about the program that has become a requirement for all freshmen at UW.
Arriving the week before the start of fall classes, UW’s incoming students learn everything they need to know about succeeding in college — and, more specifically, how to become successful students at UW.
