There were a number of hearings in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan recently. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
An arraignment hearing was held for 23-year-old Seth Orlandi of Sheridan. Orlandi was charged with the crime of aggravated assault and battery for causing bodily injury to a woman whom he knew was pregnant. The alleged crime occurred on June 20, 2023 at a residence in Sheridan County. Orlandi entered a plea of not guilty at the hearing and District Court Judge Darci Phillips scheduled a two-day #3 stack jury trial to begin on December 11.
A pretrial conference will take place at 9 am on November 9 in District Court. Orlandi’s bond was continued under the same terms and conditions that were previously set in Circuit Court. The crime of aggravated assault and battery is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
Also arraigned in District Court was 39-year-old Ethien Lamb for the charge of felony theft. Lamb pleaded not guilty the charge and a #4 stack two-day jury trial was set for December 11. The pretrial conference was scheduled for November 9 at 10:30 am. Lamb was charged with the crime for allegedly stealing a number of items, including a 100 oz bar of silver, from an individual in Sheridan and pawning the items in Billings, Montana. Felony theft is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
