cvannoyThe SCSD#3 School Board held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, July19. Items on the agenda included approval to hire Beth Harman as a 7-12 science teacher, and the approval of the nursing services contract to Kelley Glackin for the 2023-24 school year.
Superintendent Chase Christensen reported on the new computers, and the fact that there were new Chromebooks for the elementary students and the updates on the security filters on the web browsing sites.
The school also invested in some uplift desks; Christensen explained why they school purchased them..
Under student activities, Christensen said that when the student council undertakes a fund-raising project, they should run it past the administration.
He added that
The board also discussed the on-going fuel station project, saying that the variance of the land has been approved by the town council and the board agreed to keep moving forward with the project.
Next meeting will be held on August 9, and school will start on August 14.
Trinity Lewis, trustee and Christensen commended the teachers for their work over the summer.
There will be a back-to-school community BBQ on August 8 from 4-6, everyone is welcome.
