While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan County Undersheriff Lieutenant Devearux Johnson gave a few tips for getting around the area during Sheridan WYO Rodeo week.
With the much needed Main Street resurfacing and utility project in full swing as well as other street construction projects happening in Sheridan, the Undersheriff acknowledged getting around this weekend may be a challenge.
First and foremost, the Undersheriff said to remove distractions within the vehicle and put the phone away.
While trying to get around the city, remember to be patient and try to understand that other drivers are experiencing the same challenges. But should a motorist witness a major offense or a possible driver under the influence, please call in a report.
When navigating through the city to reach an event, just as in snowy months, Johnson suggests leaving early and allowing enough time to reach the destination without having to rush.
If you witness a crime in progress, do not attempt to intervene, call 911 or the Sheridan Police Department at 307-672-2413 or the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office at 307-672-3455.
