Large Annexation Receives Final Approval

A large annexation cleared the final hurdle Wednesday night during the Sheridan City Council meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.

Ordinance 2268, the Story House Properties Annexation, was approved on third and final reading by the City Council. City Public Works Director Hanns Mercer says the ordinance annexes over 175 acres into the City located at 2423 East 5th Street just north of Wyoming State Highway 336 and east of Industrial Lane.

Mercer said the property is bordered to the north and west by Sheridan County property zoned Urban Residential and the property to the east is Sheridan County property zoned Agricultural. Properties to the south are zoned Industrial, with one under the City of Sheridan jurisdiction and two under Sheridan County jurisdiction.
