Criteria for New Bar and Grill Licenses Discussed at City Council Study Session

The City of Sheridan currently has two bar and grill licenses that are available on a first come, first serve basis. Due to legislation passed by the Wyoming Legislature, the City will be receiving four additional bar and grill liquor licenses on July 1. In March, the City Council formed an alcohol committee to develop the criteria for awarding the additional licenses as well as the two available licenses following July 1. City Clerk Cecilia Good presented the criteria to the Council at Monday’s study session.

Good said the committee also developed a one through five scale that will be used to rate the criteria for the available licenses. A resolution establishing the criteria will be considered by the City Council at an upcoming regularly scheduled business meeting.
