NWCCD Board Updated on Status of Building Remodel Project

During the meeting of the Northern Wyoming Community College District (NWCCD) at Sheridan College in Johnson County Tuesday evening, Dr. Walt Tribley, President of the NWCCD, discussed theprogress of the Advanced Manufacturing and Applied Sciences Building remodeling project.

When asked, Craig Achord, Vice President for Administrative Services and Chief Financial Officer for Sheridan College, said bids for construction would be opened on May 23.

Tribley said the college is pleased with the design for the building.

According to an earlier Sheridan Media story, the 25,000 square foot building was gifted to the College in 2019 by the Seven Pillars Foundation.

In the story, Tribley said when the $6 million remodel project is completed, the college can offer additional classes there, and also stimulate the local Sheridan economy by helping entrepreneurs create new businesses by utilizing the facilities there.

The remodel project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2024.
