Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Bill of Sale or Title

Sheridan Police Lieutenant Travis Koltiska, during a recent visit on our news talk show Public Pulse, discussed what the rules and regulations are for operating a motor vehicle on a bill of sale or title when you purchase a vehicle from a private seller. Lieutenant Koltiska said that it is quite often that officers encounter a motorist who is operating a vehicle without a license plate.

Koltiska talked about what the law is if you happen to have a lien on your vehicle.
