Local Lawmaker Running Bill to Make Expansion Easier for Microbreweries

House Bill 158’s main sponsor is local Representative Cyrus Western and the measure is currently making its way through the 2020 Budget Session of the Wyoming Legislature. Representative Western explained what the legislation was crafted to do. 

The measure was met with almost unanimous support for introduction when 57 voted yay, 2 voted nay, and 1 was excused. It then passed through committee with a vote of 7 yays to 2 nays. In both the introductory and committee vote, the two dissenting Representatives were Scott Clem and Roy Edwards, both from Campbell County.
