cvannoyAccording to Jana Fraley, Big Horn parent, a group of parents and students in the Big Horn Schools are working toward bringing back an Agricultural Program and FFA Chapter into the Big Horn Schools. It’s been over 20 years since Big Horn has had an FFA chapter, and they feel it is time to reintroduce the program, as there are an increasing number of students who have voiced an interest in taking classes in agriculture as well as becoming members of an FFA chapter within their own school. There are currently FFA programs in all the other schools in Sheridan County, including one in Tongue River, which is in the same school district as Big Horn.
They are inviting parents and students at Big Horn schools to an FFA Root Beer Float Meet and Greet and an informational meeting on Wednesday, March 8th, from 4:00 – 5:15 at the Big Horn High School Cafeteria and Auditorium. “Please join us to learn about the opportunities and benefits offered through ag classes and curriculum, as well as through membership in a school FFA program,” Fraley said.

I think that this is Great! I wrote this on my calendar and hope to attend. Going forward, I will also donate time and life skills that all started with my first Ag class.
