Aaron PalmerThe hospital board of trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center, at their regular meeting last week, voted to approve and accept the proposed Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
According to discussions at the meeting, it is a program that needs to ba adopted annually.
Laurie Hansen, Director of Administration for the JCHC, gave more details on the proposed changes to the plan.
According to the Health Services Advisory Group (hsag.com), nursing homes are required to develop, implement, and maintain an effective, comprehensive, and data-driven QAPI program to improve the quality of life and quality of care delivered to nursing home residents.
