House Bill 54, if passed, would significantly increase the salary of Wyoming’s Governor, Secretary of State, Treasurer, Auditor, and Superintendent of Public Instruction. Local Representative for District 29 Mark Kinner is not in favor of passing this piece of Legislation sponsored by the Appropriations Committee.

Rep. Kinner

If the legislation passes, it would change the salaries for the State Officials from $92,000 annually to $120,000 and take the Governor from $105,000 per year to $150,000. The change in salary would not be seen until after each position had gone through an election cycle. To view House Bill 54, follow this link https://www.wyoleg.gov/Legislation/2020/HB0054 .
