Johnson County Commission Awards Scholarships

The Johnson County Commission has announced the recipients of their 2022 Commissioner’s Scholarships.

Chairman Bill Novotny made the announcement during this week’s commission meeting, saying the two high school senior recipients were both from Buffalo High School.

The two BHS seniors awarded scholarships areKaya Pehringer and McKinley Hepp, and Connor Maddox was designated as the alternate.

The scholarships are good for $500 per semester for one year, and applicants are eligible for a renewal scholarship the following year.

They can be used by Johnson County students at either the University of Wyoming or any of the state’s community colleges.

The commission also announced Calvin Rule as the recipient of their second year scholarship.
