Arraignment Hearing Held for Sheridan Man Charged With Distributing Methamphetamine

An arraignment hearing was held Tuesday in 4th Judicial District Court for 38-year-old Matthew Bohannon of Sheridan. Bohannon pleaded not guilty to five counts of delivery of a controlled substance –  methamphetamine. Dates for the trial and pretrial conference were not made available during Tuesday’s hearing. According to court documents, in July of 2021, special agents with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation received information that Bohannon was distributing methamphetamine in the Sheridan area.

Between August 4, 2021, and August 23, 2021, Bohannon was allegedly involved in the sale of methamphetamine to a confidential informant during controlled purchases five different times. Each count of delivery of a controlled substance – methamphetamine is punishable by up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $25,000.
