Aaron PalmerA bill has been filed with the Wyoming Legislature for the upcoming budget session that will protect lands surrounding the State Veterans Home and Skilled Nursing Facility in Buffalo and two other sites in the state from commercial mineral development.
Johnson County Commissioner Bill Novotny, while a recent guest on our talk show Public Pulse, talked about the legislation.
House Bill 17 (HB0017) will not only protect the Veterans Home in Buffalo and the Veterans Cemetery in Casper, but also the Richard Bridge Historical Park.
Because this year is a budget session, it is important for the public to ask their representatives and senators to support this bill, according to Novotny.
For those wanting to contact their state legislators to ask them to back the bill,
