The Museum at the Bighorns is holding an open house starting at 1 p.m on  Dec. 11.

The Museum at the Bighorns Holiday Open House will be free and will open the museum to the public. The event will feature live music and light refreshments.

While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, Museum Collections Manager Jessica Salzman told listeners a little about the event and invited them to take advantage of the history themed gifts in the shop.

The Museum at the Bighorns is also planning to close its doors for the winter season. The museum’s last day open to the public for the 2021 year will be Dec. 18, according to Salzman. This closure will allow the staff to perform seasonal cleaning as well as change and refresh exhibits. The museum will open to the public again in March of next year.
