JCHC CEO Watching for Vaccine Mandates

Published

on

Johnson County Healthcare Center CEO Luke Senden is continuing to monitor the possibility of vaccine mandates being handed down by the federal government, which could possibly create staffing problems for the facility.

In his report to the hospital board at their last meeting, he said that could affect the Amie Holt Care Center, and even more so in the rest of the healthcare center.

Senden said the hard part is not knowing at this time what the rules would be if a mandate is handed down.

He said there is some talk there could be alternative standards if people don’t want to get vaccinated to not push them out of the industry, which could include testing or safety protocols, but so far they’re just waiting to see what mandates could possibly be handed down.
