Met Live Features Wozzeck Saturday

The Sheridan WYO Performing Arts and Education Center will be showing the next feature in their Met Live in HD series on Saturday. Alban Berg’s Wozzeck premiered in Berlin back in 1925 as a sensation and a scandal. According to the Met’s website, this production of the German opera is set in an apocalyptic pre World War 1 environment rather than the traditional 1821 setting. 

The performers will sing the piece in German but there will be subtitles to accompany. The Sheridan WYO Theater will stream the performance live on Saturday morning at 10:55.
