Council Approves Mayor’s Appointment

Buffalo Police Chief Jason Carder gave his report for the month of July to the city council at their last meeting.

The council voted to approve the Mayor’s Appointment of Jim Dawson for a four-year term on the Buffalo Trails Board.

Also approved was the annual service contract agreement between the city and St. Francis Animal Shelter, with no changes.

The agreement specifies the city will pay the shelter $1,500 per month for services relating to animal control, housing, and other services for dogs and cats that are picked up by the Buffalo Police Department or Animal Control Officer.

The contract is for the 2021-2022 fiscal year.
