Tommy BHigh School students with an interest in music technology learned to harness the power of computers and digital recording consoles at Music Tech Camp at Sheridan College last week. The camp provided a glimpse into the full Music Technology Certificate course offered by the college including music theory and composition, song writing and live sound reinforcement.
Students worked on their own compositions in the computer lab as well as recording live drums and guitar in the recording studio and with live sound reinforcement in the main concert hall.
Sheridan College Technical Director Jacob Hirschman said they hope to expand the camp next summer to include more students and more live recording with musicians from around the area.
