County OKs Victim Witness Grant/Contract

A contract between Johnson County and the State of Wyoming Attorney General’s Office for the Victim-Witness Program has been approved by the county commission.

County Attorney Tucker Ruby told the commissioners that the contract was an important one for the citizens of Johnson County.

According to justice.gov the Victim-Witness Program assists victims of crime during the prosecution process, provides information and referrals, helps ensure that victims’ rights are upheld, and notifies victims of public court proceedings.

County Attorney Tucker Ruby recommended the contract for approval, which the commission did accept and approve.
