Johnson County Commission Awards Scholarships

The county commissioners awarded their annual scholarships to Johnson County students during their meeting Tuesday.

Commission Chairman Bill Novotny talked about the scholarships before awarding them.

Recipients of the two Buffalo High School Scholarships were Jessica Kinney and Calvin Rule, with Sydney Downare as the alternate.

The Kaycee Scholarship went to Mary Cleveland with Kade Neville as the alternate.

Each county in Wyoming can present three scholarships to graduates attending the University of Wyoming or a Wyoming Community College.

The scholarships are for $500 per semester for one year, and applicants are eligible for a renewal scholarship the following year.

The second year applications are due by 5pm on June 18^th.
