JCHC Looking at Receiving Cash Reimbursements
The Johnson County Healthcare Center is expecting cash reimbursements in the amount of about $2.3 million in the near future, according to discussions at the most recent hospital board meeting.
Facility CEO Sean McCallister, in his report to the board, said the center’s Payroll Protection Program loan of $2 million from the federal government’s CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) is expected to be fully forgiven.
McCallister also reported that the facility’s Medicare Cost Report for Fiscal Year 2020 found $263,000 in underpayments from Medicare that the facility will be receiving in the next couple of months.
The JCHC’s fiscal intermediary with Medicare suggested they reopen the Fiscal year 2019 report, which resulted in another $65,000 that will be paid to the healthcare center by Medicare.
