Sales and Use Tax Numbers Continue to Be Positive

The revenue generated from the sales and use tax in Sheridan continues to be positive despite the economic uncertainty caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. City of Sheridan Treasurer Karen Burtis said the monthly tax for September is up 1.9 percent and the year to date is up 5.2 percent.
Sheridan has consistently remained one of the few municipalities in the state to have positive monthly sales and use tax numbers since the pandemic began in March.
