State Health Officer: ‘State Lab Testing Capacity Has Grown’

Wyoming State Health Officer Dr. Alexia Harrist recently provided an update on COVID-19 testing in the State. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
Dr. Harrist said that the capacity of the Wyoming Public Health Laboratory to process COVID-19 tests has grown substantially since the pandemic began in March.
Dr. Harrist said that their surveillance efforts continue to grow as well.
According to the Wyoming Department of Health website, there have been 44,636 tests completed at the State Lab and 41,505 tests reported by independent commercial labs. There have been a total of 5,380 tests completed in Sheridan County.
