A 32-year-old Sheridan man was sentenced in Fourth Judicial District Court Thursday for two felony drug possession charges. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
On December 31, 2025, a special agent with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation was contacted by a United States Postal Inspector about a suspicious package they had received that was being sent from Manteca, California to an address in Sheridan. A subsequent investigation led to the arrest of Tanner Kjos and Brittany Popp of Sheridan.
At a sentencing hearing Thursday, District Court Judge Darci Phillips accepted the terms of the plea agreement that was reached between the defendant and the State and sentenced Kjos to 2 to 4 years in prison for each of two felony drug possession charges and to run the sentences concurrent to one another. The prison time was suspended in favor of three years of supervised probation. Kjos was ordered to pay $575 in court costs and assessments.
