Construction of New Fairgrounds Community Building Underway

Construction on the new community building at the Johnson County Fairgrounds has begun with tearing down old buildings to make room for the new.

Fairgrounds Administrator Casey Curtright came before the county commission to update them on the progress of construction.

In an earlier Sheridan Media story, Fair Board Secretary Matt Rable said the new community building will seat 500, and will be able to be split in the middle to accommodate multiple simultaneous events.

The Fair Board Office and the 4-H Extension Office will be housed there as well.
