JCSD1 Passes Revisions on Policies on First Reading

Published

on

The Johnson County School Board passed a number of revisions to policies at their last regular meeting, including one concerning the entrance age of students.

The ages were not proposed to be changed, but specify the superintendent would make decisions concerning enrollment as opposed to the board as a whole.

Another policy was on homeschooling; while another was on special education evaluation and eligibility; and another on rehiring administrators, certified, and classified staff who retire, resign, or otherwise separate from employment with the district.

The revised policies were approved on first reading.
