The Brinton’s Fall into Art Series to Explore Cowboy Artists 

The Brinton Museum will continue the 2026 Fall into Art Series with Pards of the Paintbrush: Cowboy Artists Across the West, from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9.

Learning and Engagement Coordinator Anna Sensel said The Brinton Museum’s Fall into Art Series is an in-depth lecture series that celebrates western heritage, the creative spirit and Indigenous arts.  

The Brinton Museum’s 2026 Season theme is Our Legends, and since August, the museum has been exhibiting the works of William Gollings, in the exhibition Collected Treasures. Assistant Curator Kaily Carson said Gollings was an artist deeply connected to the Sheridan region and the Quarter Circle A Ranch.

To complement the works of Gollings, Pards of the Paintbrush: Cowboy Artists Across the West, will be presented by Western Heritage Award Winner, Michael Grauer, who will give a lecture exploring Gollings’ place within the history of artists who documented ranching and cowboy life from firsthand experience.
