Story Days will bring three days of community activities, entertainment and food to Story Aug. 28-30.

Story Days president, Megan Decker, and a longtime resident of Story Sally Johnson made an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse to invite the public to celebrate the mountain town of Story for three days of food, vendors, a parade, and plenty of activities for the whole family.

The annual end-of-summer celebration begins Friday afternoon and continues through Sunday with live music, a parade, craft vendors, a silent auction, children’s activities and competitions.

Decker said the silent auction includes unique experiences and items from local Story Businesses.

The Lion’s Club will begin selling raffle tickets on Friday and continue until 2 p.m. Saturday. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be available at the Story Women’s Club beginning at 4 p.m. and Decker said a special presentation will take place that evening.

The Nate Champion Band will close out the first evening of the weekend at the Story Art Station.

Other weekend highlights include the Story Volunteer Fire and Rescue Fireman’s Breakfast, horseshoe and frisbee golf tournaments and fundraisers supporting local service organizations.

Story Days is organized by a team of volunteers, with silent auction proceeds supporting the German Christmas Market in December and next year’s Story Days celebration.
