Candidate forum
The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee-hosted first candidate forum was held at the WYO Performing Arts and Education Center Monday.
The unopposed candidates attending were Rene Botten, Clerk of the District Court, Katie Araas, County Treasurer, Korkie Knudtson, County Assessor and Dianna Bennett. County Attorney.
The opposed candidates attending were Robert Byrd and Kevin Sessions for County Coroner, William Levi Dominguez and Kenneth Howard Fitzpatrick for County Sheriff, Eda Schunk Thompson and Christine Temple for County Clerk and Recorder, Lee Ackerly, Glenn Drummond, Dennis Fox, Christi Haswell, Holly Jennings, Karla Kaley, James R. Schellinger, and Harley Shuck for three open County Commissioner seats and Amber Horsley, Greg Luhman, Andrew Patceg, Harry Pollak and Terry Weitzel for three open City Council seats.

A well presented candidate forum with an unbiased approach of questioning and discouraging public participation. The Chamber does a fantastic job and the moderator ( mr. Sinclair) did a fantastic job in keeping it on course and allowing the candidates to present their platforms.
