Buffalo Police Chief Says No Issues During July 4 Weekend

In his report to the Buffalo City Council at their meeting Tuesday evening, Police Chief Sean Bissett said the July 4 weekend was good, with no major incidents to report.

Bissett gave numbers for the month of June, saying there were nearly 2,500 calls into the dispatch center, with officers responding to 800 incidents, resulting in nine arrests.

He also reported an incident where residents got involved and helped officers with the arrest of an individual in a domestic dispute, and we will have more on that in an upcoming story.
