Annual Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby This Weekend
The 42nd Annual Lake DeSmet Fishing Derby, put on by the Buffalo Lions Club, will be happening this Memorial Day Weekend on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
According to their flier for the event, there will be over $50,000 in cash and prizes available to be awarded including tagged fish for cash ranging from $100 to $3,000; drawings, including a special Youth Drawing for a guided elk hunt; and daily cash prizes of $1,000 on Saturday, $1,000 and $500 on Sunday, and $2,000 on Monday to be given away.
Ticket prices are $15 per day or $40 for all three days and are available in Buffalo at Wa-Hoo Liquors, the Lake Stop, Sports Lure, and Crazy Woman Liquor; and in Sheridan and Gillette at Rocky Mountain Discount Sports.
