JCSD1 Board Approves Employment Report for May

During their regular meeting this week, the Johnson County School Board approved, as part of their Consent Agenda, the Employment Report for the month of May.

Approved was the retirement of Gina Gonzalez as an Instructional Paraprofessional at Meadowlark Elementary School, effective at the end of the 2025-26 school year.

Also approved were the resignations of Michelle Dahlberg, Afton Chesbro, Lyndi Liston, Brandy Norton, Michael Murray, Sarah Walker, Kelly Nelson, and Kami Kennedy.

Additionally, the board approved recommendations, and transfers in the report.

Recommendations:

Sarah Walker – Head Girls Basketball coach, CCMS (replaces Josh Clason)

Britta Crawford – Psychologist, District (was an intern 25-26 school year)

Lori Byrd – Head Volleyball Coach, BHS (replaces Michelle Dahlberg)

Resignations:

Michelle Dahlberg – Counselor, BHS (effective at the end of 25-26 school year)

Afton Chesbro – Asst Volleyball Coach, CCMS (effective immediately)

Afton Chesbro – Asst Boys Basketball Coach, CCMS (effective immediately) 

Lyndi Liston – Elementary Teacher, Kaycee K-12 School (effective end of 25-26 school year)

Brandy Norton – Bus Driver (KC) (effective May 21, 2026)

Michael Murray – Science Teacher, Kaycee (effective end of 25-26 school year)

Sarah Walker – Asst Volleyball Coach, BHS (effective immediately), (late addition)

Kelley Nelson – Asst Girls Basketball Coach, BHS (effective immediately), (late addition)

Kami Kennedy – Business Teacher & Asst FBLA Coach, BHS (effective end of 25-26 school year), (late addition)
